This one's interesting. It's a unclassified edition.
It starts out denying ufos all the way, it says the public is convinced and they are worried about mass hysteria, then they say it's worrisome whether or not it's from the soviets (it isn't) and they didn't find soviet ufo reports. But they did find soviet ufo reports, according to the report during 1991. However, the timing is not incompatible, as over there, the history is from 1945-1991. And also, they concluded they must be suppressing the reports. Eventually, they say it's nothing, and try to blcok the information for fears of a mass hysteria. Remember the april fools joke about aliens invading? Even after that, however, they continued to monitor ufo sightings. In the interest of national security. It's not totally implausible, but wouldn't not paying any attention to it help more when people are taking the CIA's involvement as proof of a conspiracy? And even after the conference, the people continued to worry. This must be a sign the conference wasn't too convincing. Furthermore, there actually was a guy trying to relieve his department from the burden of investigating ufos. Budgets were tightening at the time, apparently. Yet the responsibility stayed on his department, despite that. Furthermore, the worry's were specifically that the soviets had a flying saucer. There was a good argument put against that, however:
If the soviets have a flying saucer, then why would they continue to develop conventional aircraft? (this is not a quotation)
Furthermore, later on they made a plane U-2, that looked nothing like a flying saucer. It was 83 feet long, and it was a CIA operation according to wikipedia.
Furthemore, they then say they could attribute half the ufo sightings within that period of time to this. Apparently it was also shiny, if that's important. And they seemed to have tested it over towns, using the u-2s for reconnaissance and then gave bunk explanations for the sightings.
I wonder what got into there heads there.
As soon as test flights were started, there was a large increase in ufo sightings. Makes sense I suppose. But what about the ones this doesn't account for? It was a large increase among commercial pilots and air traffic controllers, the people who are supposed to be paying very keen attention to things, I would imagine.
Here's the secret version, said so because on the bottom of the first page it says secret:
http://www.foia.cia....838057_0012.gif
Also, here;s one report:
http://www.foia.cia....098713_0002.gif
And here's what japan is doing:
http://www.foia.cia....112348_0001.gif
Also, I remember hearing that there's a nobel physicist who overthrew right-left parity, or somesuch. Here's his speech:
http://nobelprize.or...1957/press.html
Just for a more broadening view about reality.
Interesting what's being done in places that are not-here.
http://www.cnn.com/v...ings.cnn?hpt=T2
CNN seriously discusses ufos.
And here's the gold mine:
http://www.foia.cia....214609_0001.gif
If you need to advance throughout pages, just change the last digit in the address bar.
And as to why I put a secret document that could be construed to be denying ufos as evidence, it could just be faked so as to not elicit any attention.
Actually, it would kind of make sense if it were a rough draft, or somesuch.
And here's a documentary:
http://video.yahoo.c...1173174/4196497
I can't vouch for this one's quality, that I just mentioned, as I haven't watched it myself.
Here's one I remember:
http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=2893635681003691876#&hl=en
I watched a bit of it earlier. It's supposedly from phoenix, Arizona, the ufo was V-shaped, or triangularly shaped. I remember hearing a similar report in a different documentary.
There were hundreds of witnesses, according to it. It supposedly occured over Arizona.
From an interview at the Colbert Report:
http://www.colbertna...010/leslie-kean
Yes, a real author has now appeared on the colbert report, talking about ufos. I wonder if I'm unusual for being more surprized at this then at the CNN coverage of ufos.
Title quality... Sinking... Evacuation imminent... Must. Write. ARTICLLLEEE!!!!
Okay. So drama aside, I've been reading lots of good books lately, and as many of them are of a practical nature, I thought that they'd be worth sharing. I provide a link to Amazon for each book because it works. Okay, now for the list.

More books later
Some stuff was really, really, cool, but wasn't worth a full-fledged category. So I made sub-categories. Here they are.
Time-wasters
All sites below addictive. You've been warned
StumbleUpon A neat little toolbar that let's you randomly stumble through the internet. I use it all the time. You download the toolbar, select your interests, then click the stumble button. If you like the site you go to you give it a thumbs up, if you don't like it you give it a thumbs down. Gets smarter the more you use it.
Tvtropes This is a fun little wiki-style site that is designed to be a fun site to surf through. You need to have a good starting point, easily supplied by the random page button, and after that, all you have to do is read the articles, click on the links, and backtrack when you want to explore elsewhere. The starting point generally defines what happens afterwards in my experience.
(I can't believe I got sucked down there for a half-hour by writing this... truly it is a powerful force for timewasting)
Blue ocean blogs
Ever heard of blue ocean strategy? It's all about making your competition by making new market space. There's a book on it.
Value innovation + Blue Ocean Strategy
Really Random Junk
Stuff that doesn't fit in subcategories
One red paperclip The trades of a man who wanted a house... And had a red paperclip to get it. Pretty cool.
Windows 1.0 Commercial This Windows commercial is just hilarious, it can be found under
So Bad, It's Good in tvtropes.
More categories and stuff later.
The list of music sites, complete with descriptions from my understanding of them.
Pandora Basically it creates a custom radio station based on what songs you like and what artist/song you put as a base.
Last.fm Social music site. Lets you get recommendations based on what similar people thought was good, and give music recommendations to friends, as well as very popular music in general. Apparently has lots of unknown and underground gems.
StumbleAudio Let's you find audio based on what you like, and avoids things you dislike. It finds music at random through specific genres. I imagine it's good for finding little known artists
The Hype Machine Finds music on blogs and lets you find the music and the blog that talked about them. It lets you find music based on popularity, what's new, what's on the radio (a mix of both) and what you like and what other people (that you know of) like, along with ways to find those people in the first place, (spying on what other people happened to listen to or favorite in the past few seconds).
Musicovery is an interactive and customized web-radio. Listeners can intuitively find music matching their mood. The more they listen and rate songs, the more radio programs get personalized. It lets you find songs based on how you feel, what genres you want to listen to, and what time period you want. The closer the music is to the one you're currently listening to, the more similar it is. (description partly stolen from wikipedia)
Skreemr A dedicated music search engine. It finds music based on the quality of the file, and what you searched for.
iLike enables fans to discover and share playlists, new music that matches their personal tastes, and concerts by their favorite artists. iLike offers retail links to iTunes and Amazon to purchase music, and Ticketmaster to purchase concert tickets. also has a sidebar which integrates with iTunes.
thesixtyone Like digg, but for music.
Amazon is a site that just about everyone should be familiar with. Back before I knew all about the sites listed above, I would go to Amazon and see what else customers bought when they bought an album I liked. If you keep doing this, you start going down a rabbit hole and can find some great music. The little snippets that Amazon lets you listen to provide you with a great way to sample the artists as you come across them. (description stolen from Kyle Judkins on lostintechnology.com)
Owl Music Search Lets you use music you have to find more music similar to it.
iRate gets you a few initial tracks to figure out what you like, then finds music that you like based on what other people liked, and occasionally just gives you a random track to listen to.
Slacker Another personalized radio site, this one you choose the artists for and then it adds artists until you have 15 on the station. You can say you like the artist or ban him or his song/album. For some reason play explicit music is toggled on by default, so if you don't want to hear that you should go to options-> account -> manage account -> edit and turn off explicit music from there.
Jukefly Another radio site, this time you're listening to your own songs, what's on the radio, or what's on youtube. It has some social features too.
Just Hear It Another music search engine. This one lets you hear songs on-site. It's still in private beta, though.
Free Legal Music Sites This page lists sites where you can get free legal music. I'm too lazy to copy and paste all the content, so I'm linking to him. (archive.org makes the users/posters responsible for making sure it's legal and has an even bigger audio collection.)
Meemix Personalized internet radio with social networking
Younoodle search: pandora Lots of different music sites.
Missed free legal music sites Freemp3Mail (mp3's delivered to your inbox) + Altsounds (alternative music and press online)
This list is devoted to any sites that can help you find music. I'll make another list with descriptions tommorrow. Enjoy.

Title says it all.
Gemcraft You're a wizard with lots of magical powers and an ability to create gems that, when put in towers or thrown, destroy evil monsters! Best tower defense game.
Almost anything from Nitrome
Indestruct2tank Run into enemy vehicles, blow them up, and go into the air and blow up more! Nice, arcade style game.
Battle for Wesnoth Action oriented turn-based strategy game. Large user base, and lots of pre-made scenarios and campaigns.
Auditorium Read the learn more section for the game. An excellent puzzle game.
Frozen Bubble Destroy all the bubbles by throwing bubbles of matching color at them! Pretty fun.
Totem Destroyer Get rid of the necessary number of blocks, while keeping the totem on one! Nice game.
Portal the Flash Game You have a gun that makes portals. you shoot the place you want to exit, and the place you want to arrive. Pretty fun puzzle game
Aether A very, very, unique puzzle game. Quite fun to figure out. Go to various planets and solve their problems. If you don't understand the first planet you go to, leave it and find another.
Super smash flash A friend made me put this on. Only good if you don't own a smash game yourself really.
Distopix A basic dodge the bad stuff game... But the screen keeps moving around, getting flipped upside down, etc. Quite good.
Amberial + Amberial: Nebulosa Realms Two great games. Basically you have to roll a little ball into one of two goals, but the problem is... The stage isn't flat, and you can't jump. Without a spring that is. and there's bad stuff you don't want to touch. Pretty fun.
Here: http://jayisgames.com/ is a list of games for a starting point for any searching on the matter. It doesn't have every game ever made there so you might want to check the sites of the guys who made the games there.
Okay, this time I'm sending Youtube videos sent to me by somebody else (I do like them though). All of the videos are legal and do not contain language except where noted. The list:
They're taking the hobbits to isenguard One clip... Repeated endlessly... To music... With occasional other clips mixed in. Might be language from Gollum but I don't think it was.
Why is the rum gone Same as above, except with Pirates of the Carribean and more variation. No language.
I've got a jar of dirt Like above, but more childish.
Fear is the path to the dark side You know what to expect. Less lyrics and more different clips this time. Uses Star wars clips.
Crazy Frog Now this one's in a different style. My favorite.
The Grand Cathedral: Serious Sam the Second Encounter Just music.
-{Great Pyramid-Serious Sam the First Encounter Music}- Same.
Different friend this time.

You can find tons of songs on youtube pretty easily, as long as you're not too specific on what you want to find, with just these as a starting point.
THEY WERE:
Melody from heaven
I"M BLUE (REMIXED)
Another things you could take a look at would be songs from DDR, or beatmania, or some other game.
EXAMPLE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjI5qWveG88
AGAIN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcCo2nsSWSk
ALSO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8raGajhlc-c
AND A non-DDR SONG TOO:
AGAIN WITH A non-DDR SONG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSMeUPFjQHc
AND AGAIN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw0wRfHjF5M
THEY ARE:
TRIP MACHINE
Butterfly
CARTOON heroes
ERASURE's always
How to save a life
I think. I'm going to update later (as in, probably tommorow, morning being likely enough) and do some editing on this, if only to explain the section before this, or delete this section (probably doing a better job with the hyperlinks too).
But really the value of the links I've posted is mostly so you can find some more music from my selections, whosoever happens to be reading this post.
Edit: Sorry, never happened.
So here's another list, this time for webcomics. I have personally read these webcomics, and put what should be known on the list. If there's nothing that needs to be known then it's excellent and you should read it right away. Sorry if there's any language. Now onto the list.
Dndorks Pretty good if you know how to play Dungeons and Dragons. That's all I'll say.
Weregeek I firmly believe that this one is good even if you don't know how to play Dungeons and Dragons. But it has some of that in there. The beginning has some horror elements in it, which would be taken more seriously if they didn't have excellent jokes between them.
Closet Gamers It helps to remember that in tabletop RPGs that whether you succeed or fail at a given task is mostly determined by dice. Probably pretty good as long as you remember that.
Edepth Angel Little language, but not much. Updated the link.
Gunnerkrigg Court Fantastic webcomic. The first chapter is written very differently than the rest of the webcomic, but still quite good. Some language.
Darths and Droids The Funniest Webcomic Ever. Some D&D references here, but the humor is pretty universal.
Here: http://topwebcomics.com/ is a list of webcomics. If you want to root through something for more webcomics/a better starting place or somesuch.
This is me again, this time about games I like, that give off a lot of fun for their price tag.
I have played through most of these games to the extent that I got bored with them. All of these games have lasted at least 2 hours for every dollar they cost. All prices are from Amazon Used and New, so they're subject to change (vendors who put the condition as less than very good or have less than a 97% rating).
Please note that I have very little patience compared to some of my friends, (which is why I left Sonic adventure 2 off here) so it's unlikely that you'll give up in frustration midgame. And mostly I'm guessing the times, so expect them to be highly inaccurate, mostly on the low side though. Now onto the games.
Tales of Symphonia (Gamecube $32 100+ hours)
Kingdom hearts (Plastation 2 $16 40+ hours)
Amazing Island (Gamecube $11 25+ hours can't determine real length)
Megaman 64 (Nintendo 64 $13 30+ hours)(There's also a psx version)
Final fantasy X (Playstation 2 $19 120+ hours)
Final fantasy XII (Playstation 2 $16 70+ hours)
Disgaea 2 (Playstation 2 $28 68+ hours)
Gotcha Force (Gamecube $20 40+ hours, can't determine real length)
The prices will generally creep upwards, usually about a dollar a month.
Here are some more sites that have video game reviews, in-case you need them. Amazon + IGN
Expect more games in the future, with up-to-date hours.
Well, for those who were hoping for a webcomic, I decided not to go that route. It was too much work for something I didn't really want to do (and all I really wanted was a vehicle for some jokes). So, wait who's that ultra cute guy over there?
